Analyzing your business’s skills and staff back-up needs

Analyse des besoins de l’entreprise au niveau des compétences et de la relève In the current situation of globalization and demographic change, it is critical for a business to manage its human capital to the best of its ability. What skills does a business require to maintain its position in the future marketplace? Are the necessary resources available in-house? What is the rate of workforce movement? What is the age range and gender distribution in the business? Are skilled employees in demand on the international market? What can the business offer to its best employees to retain them? What means does the business have to develop the necessary resources?

Objectives

We work through these questions with you and support you in the analysis of your human capital needs. An effective basis for planning and developing human resources is the competency model. We will help you develop your own competency model.

Methods

  • Workshops with management to define the required skills according to the business’s strategy and values and the state of the market (looking towards the future is essential for any business)
  • Interview with senior management, staff members and, if necessary, clients to analyze the requirements of certain job positions (focused on the position’s key tasks)
  • Defining the characteristics that determine the success of a position
  • Defining key indicators of a successful position (based on the individual’s specific and observable behavior)
  • Support with an analysis of the business’s current position based on a competency model
  • Support with an analysis of staff development and back-up needs.
